Tradition of beer brewering
Tradition of beer brewering in Zabřeh was revived after the rekonstruction of the chateau in 2007 . An idea of the owner was to find original recipe and start again to brew traditional chzech lager beer, similar the beer brewed by our ancestors... Brewery was inaugrated at 28.th of Sept. 2007, in a day of St. Vaclav - which is the benefactor of brewmasters.

In our microbrewery we rely on time-honoured, traditional technologies, without using any extracts or speeding up the natural brewing process. All of the equipment is made of stainless steel, and the kettle capacity is 5.5 hectolitres with an annual production of 1,000 hl.
We brew light and dark lager (11 degrees, around 5% ABV) and flavoured light and dark lager (11 degrees). At Christmas and to celebrate special occasions we brew dark and light special lagers (14 degrees).
In our brewing we select only the highest-quality ingredients: malt, hops, water and yeast. Beer is bitter but should not be harsh, and so we use high-quality red Žatec hops from Bohemia. The aroma of beer should be composed purely of malt and hops.
